All About the Noise for Indonesia’s Experimentalists
While several major Indonesian musicians are busy planning world domination and devising schemes to “go international,” some lesser-known artists are actually out there doing it.
Musicians whose work doesn’t fit the local commercial market are often unappreciated in their own country, but can find welcoming arms in foreign lands. Head-spinning music, it seems, has more of a chance to cross borders than its pop-oriented brethren.
